Matting Effect Of Putting An Image
Mat glasses used to be done hand made. Small sand was sprinkled on the glass and by making circular movements with the help of a heavy plate necessary roughness of glass surface was acquired. Nowadays, sandblast glass processing is carried out through the air blast with sand under a great pressure. By regulating the pressure and changing the sand granularity it becomes possible to get various degrees of solid matting. Glass matting is carried out after being processed and tempered.

Sandblast glass processing is useful not only for matting but also for putting one-sided or double-sided images of any complexity. If matting from one-side leaving the background and image transparent and to do visa versa on the other side, the image will acquire a depth and expressiveness, through such glasses nothing is seen due to which sandblast glass procession can be used for door glasses in the bathroom unit. Our production is equipped with highly productive sandblast plant which allows carrying out great deal of volume work operatively. For making a template the image is placed to an electronic AutoCAD program. The processing glass is covered with a protective self-adhesive film and then an image is cut according to the ordered program on the cut machine of Bottero model which is supplied by a “cutting plotter” function. You can either bring your ready images or express your wish to our specialists who will make them come true. Mat glasses must be protected by special coatings to avoid fat stains. |
